Supporting people, building communities, and changing lives through employment and connection since 1995.

About us

IDEAL Placements has been proudly supporting individuals and local communities across the Mackay and Capricornia region for over 30 years. We believe meaningful work can change lives, and we’re here to help people access the training, employment, and support they need to thrive.

We’ve grown into a dynamic, community-focused organisation offering a range of programs across five locations, with flexible delivery options for more regional areas.

What we do

We deliver these programs across Mackay, Whitsundays and Moranbah/Capricornia (Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Mt Morgan, Emerald) including through our services2you outreach for regional communities.

Working together with the community

Our success is built on strong partnerships with local employers, schools, support services and government agencies. Together, we help create long-term outcomes for jobseekers, businesses and the wider community.

Our key partners include:

  • Local employers and businesses
  • Community support services and industry networks
  • Schools, RTOs and education providers
  • Allied health professionals
  • Mackay Region Chamber of Commerce (CCIQ)
  • Department of Social Services (DSS)

A child safe organisation

We’re committed to the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and families who access our services.

IDEAL Placements follows the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and has embedded these standards across our systems. We believe every young person has the right to be heard, respected, and protected.
